In today’s world, we have all been bombarded by messages and images of the many ways that we are hurting our environment and the way that this damage is affecting us. As a result, a lot pressure has been placed on modern, high-tech nations to ‘fix’ these problems. This has made the situation overwhelming and in some ways impossible, making the issues easier to ignore than to face them. The current environmental situations include; global warming, melting polar caps, breaks in the ozone layer, extinction of certain animal species and so forth. Though all of these are tough problems, we can still take a stand and make things better.
We must care for our environment and the many problems that plague our world. Though it may be easier to see political or economic problems as being more important than environmental problems, this isn’t exactly the case. For our world to even have the ability to face and deal with political and economic problems, we must have a stable and healthy environment. Therefore, for us to continue living the way we please, we must address the environmental issues that threaten our worlds stability.
Parents frequently speak of the desire to watch and control what their children eat to guarantee their health and wellbeing. Just as parents are concerned with what their children eat in order to keep them healthy, parents must also be concerned with the environment to ensure their childrens health. Afterall, clean air, free of toxins and pollutants, is also a large factor in keeping children healthy and safe. In fact, it was an incident involving children and their health (Love Canal), which acutally made environmental issues a major dilemma.
From the way that light pollution clouds our night skies, like a thick blanket preventing us from enjoying the beauty of the night, to the extinction of both plant and animal species, to the clinical effects of a damaged environment, we can no longer ignore the way our actions have affected our world. It is not impossible to help and make things better, even in small ways we can limit and decrease the amount of pollutants and damage, we release and create. Even through small actions like; using more energy efficient light bulbs and light fixtures, recycling, managing water and electricity use, we are helping the environment. There are many steps to be taken to reverse the damage we have done and they will take time. We should however, take responsibility and began to adjust our lives to a more economically conscious lifestyle, this way we can begin to improve our environment for both us and the generations to come.

Hello I’m Marley. I agree 100% about what you’ve just said. Our world is in great danger of the horrible affects global warming has for it. If we all get out of the mindset “I’m just one person” and do whatever we can to help our world will be a much better place. I recycle and most times when I see litter I through it away. Although those deeds seem small it still helps. Also I hope and pray that everyone who can help finds it in their heart to help the environment so we can live happier and healthier, and for generations to come. Thanks for your time. -Your fellow environmentalist Marley.
Stopping pollution, greenhouse gasses etc. will only help the enviroment for couple of years – It won’t stop completely though. We’re still going to DIE
its true.we should care for our environment more
Caring for the environment should be our priority as each new generation is created. Small differences to the way we live day to day do make a bigger impact to the push for a much greener environment. For example throwing your rubbish inside the bin. Other ways we are generally able to make a change is to contribute to lowering the demand of coal electricity. This can be done by purchasing accredited greenpower through your electricity retailer. A well known company that offers this product is Jackgreen electricity. (www.jackgreen.com.au)
The five states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas, Montana, and Texas alone have enough wind energy potential to meet all of our energy needs all by itself(USA) and by itself if just 9 percent of the state of Nevada’s land covered in solar thermal plants could meet all of our energy needs. Clean energy is cheaper than fossil fuels and also creates more jobs than fossil fuels which would inturn boost the economy. (More facts on greenpeace.org)
i agree with all of the comments and its true that we will DIE if the environment isnt saved or fixed into better condition and every little thing does count so convince your friends before global warming kills us all
remember we should take care of the world!!!!!!!!
